Kelowna's new home construction grew a
bit as the slow economic recovery continues. In January 2013 there were
starts on 55 homes in the city, according to the latest statistics from
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
The 55 starts were made up
of 33 single family detached homes and 22 units in condominium,
apartments and town house complexes. That is slightly above the 49
starts for January 2012.
