This Saturday July 21st the Peachland Sportsmen's Association will hold a free fishing derby for the handicapped at Heritage Park in Peachland
from 11 am - 2 pm. The BC Wildlife Federation calls the event Fishing
Forever the event is open to anyone with a disability. It will include a
barbecue and prizes.
The event gets between 35 - 50 people with
the same number of association members and volunteers to assist and
provide the fishing gear. Fishing is done from the shoreline and no
fishing licences are required.
